Contour Housing Group

Contour Housing Group is one of the North West’s biggest Registered Social Landlords (RSL). The company manages 18,000 properties across 27 local authorities from its headquarters at Salford Quays and a number of neighbourhood offices across the region.

What we do

Contour manages housing for general need, the elderly and vulnerable members of society. Contour also works with developers and councils to build a wide range of affordable homes for shared ownership. We are specialists in regeneration and offer numerous examples of neighbourhoods which have been transformed into communities that have become great places to live for our diverse customer base.

Contour in Salford

In 2005 Contour Housing Group was appointed as lead RSL in East Central Salford. This means that it is a key partner of Salford City Council working with them and other partners to meet a variety of challenges and deliver the exciting vision that the Council has set out.

The aim of both parties is for this to be a long term initiative which secures investment and regenerates neighbourhoods. The provision of new homes and upgrading of existing properties is an important element of Contour’s work in East Central Salford. However, this is just one part of the regeneration programme.

Other crucial elements include consulting with residents to find out what they want and providing reassurance and information to residents in neighbourhoods undergoing change. Contour also liaises with other RSL’s to identify opportunities for joint initiatives and works to secure employment opportunities;

If you are moving to a Contour property in Lower Broughton

Contour has a long history of providing and managing homes in Salford. We also have considerable experience of working with residents on a range of large scale regeneration initiatives throughout the North West.

Contour properties in Lower Broughton

The new housing will be ‘mixed tenure’. That means the redevelopment will include properties for sale as well as for rent. Contour will own and manage the rented properties.

We also want the development to be ‘tenure blind’. That means anyone driving around the new homes will be not be able to tell from the outside appearance which properties are for rent and which are for sale.

What will be offered?

Contour and Salford City Council are carrying out home visits with residents, some of whom are moving in the next year. The purpose of the visits are to provide you with more information, answer any questions you may have and to find out more about how we can help your household.

Keep up to date

Contour will keep its existing and new residents up to date with developments using one to one sessions and by newsletters delivered to your home on a monthly basis.
