Hi again,
Photos, photos, New Broughton Rangers and Alberts of Salford is what my week has been about! And a great week it has been too.
New Broughton residents please note that you will be receiving a letter shortly from Alberts of Salford regarding a Walking Bus that has been set up to transport juniors (ages 7 - 11) to and from Albert Park so that they can join in the fun of their Junior Club. The letter will show a map with the "Bus Stops" and pick up and drop off times. The "Bus" will provide high visibility vests for your children to wear so that they can be seen by motorists and pedestirans as an extra safety measure. Also they will be escorted by qualified and CRB checked Alberts of Salford staff. This is your opportunity for your children to take part in a fantastic club. Don't miss out!
Just to let you know that there will be a Tag Rugby Festival held at Castle Irwell on Wednesday 11 June between 9.30 and 12.00 for many of the local primary schools. Please come along and show your support. I will update you on the winning team next week!
Also your local rugby league team, the New Broughton Rangers, play Widnes at home on Saturday 14 June. Kick off is 2.30pm. With regards to last weeks match....... they drew against Runcorn away 34-34 and played absolutely brilliantly! This is a team that Broughton can be very very proud of!
New Broughton was visited this week be Iain Wright MP who is the Under Secretary of State. He seemed very impressed by the development and had a good chat with some residents. May thanks to everyone who made the visit successful.
So until next time..... take care and enjoy your week!
FACT OF THE WEEK......... 14-22 June is National Bike Week! Get on your bikes everyone!!
