September 2008

Monday 1 September 2008

Hi!.

Can you believe that its September already!!  I don't know where this year has gone.

So welcome to another blog session.

I was pleased to be asked to attend the Groundworks walk about in Lower Broughton to highlight areas that needed attention.  The Groundworks team were on hand to discuss issues raised by local residents regarding the state of green spaces.  There is to be a presentation on the findings at a meeting to be held on Thursday 11th September 2008 at 6.00 p.m. at St. Sebastian's Day Centre, Salford.

Albert Park held its Beach Party on 6th August which was very very well attended and even the rain didn't dampen the spirits of those that went along.  Well done to the organisers!

The Salford Flood bus made a couple of appearances over August at Mocha Parade and Salford Sports Village to inform residents of what to do in a flooding emergency.  This was very well received by those that attended.

Septmeber brings a new round of consultation with the residents of Phases 2 and 3.  These events are on Wednesday 3rd and Thursday 4th September from 2.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. at the Wrestling Centre, Great Clowes Street.  These events are for those involved in this moving phase.

The drop in sessions will also commence at the Humphrey Booth Centre each Wednesday from 17th September between 2.00 p.m and 4.00 p.m.

Once again....... please be reminded of the Albert Park Walking Bus!  Its there for you children to use daily Monday to Thursday.  Pick up points are at the junction of Camp Street/Duke Street at 4.50pm, Junction of Broughton Lane/Duke Street at 4.53pm and finally junction of Broughton Lane/Camp Street at 4.55pm.  Drop off times are in the same order as pick up at the following times....... 6.10pm, 6.13pm and 6.15pm.
