Monday 3 March 2008
Hi, and welcome to another installment of a week in the life of me!
It's been meetings galore this week, both internal and external.
The Partnership Steering Group was on Monday and was again an opportunity for the community to come along and catch up with the Partners as to what is and will be going on in the area. Should you wish to participate in these meetings then take a look at the "What's On" section and click on Steering Group Meeting. This will then give you the date, time and venue. Please feel free to come along and participate.
Tuesday evening has the Friends of Albert Park meeting at Broughton Database, Fit City. This gives residents the opportunity to bring ideas along for the park. Also their website is updated, with pictures of the state of the park, capital spending plans and future meeting dates. See www.albertpark.co.uk
On Thursday evening there is a residents event at the Church of the Nazarene at 6.30 pm. This will be to discuss security, Homewatch, CCTV, Gardening Club, Reminiscence event, Future lettings, Residents Association and future meetings.
Thursday 6th March is World Book Day. This event was designated by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Orgnaisation) as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and is marked in over 100 countries around the globe. Local schools will be taking part in this event.
Until next week....... take care.
